"Picked up my first Mini, a 2007 R56 Cooper S, and needed a specialist as I have learned in the past that those who specialize in a particular car can usually diagnose via seat of the pants and sound. Steve at Westcoast Autobahn was exactly that specialist. An R56 owner himself, he was able to take a spin around the block and make some preliminary indications for what my new ride needed, and was not shy about sharing specific knowledge about the car, it's tendencies (like valve seals weeping and causing the smoke puff after idling for a while) and what was needed to get this odd clunking sound I was experiencing eradicated. He also corrected some things I screwed up while trying to be a driveway suspension pro. All in all, I walked away confident that I was in good hands, my immediate needs fixed, and a couple items on my "round 2" fixes when I am ready. Now if I could just get this blasted bluetooth to connect! ..........Gotta love the MINI =)"

"Brought my 2nd MINI [2013 Countryman S] to Steve. It had been a couple years since we sold our 1st MINI, and passed the extented warranty with the dealership.  He remembered us, and even our dog. It was very reassuring that 1) he was still driving his MINI and 2) the garage grew to accommodate another bay.  "Check Engine" light came on, and dealership service center was going to charge $160 for diagnostic only + labor, which on average is about $100 an hour.  Called Steve Tuesday, and brought the car in that evening. Got a call midday on Wednesday of the repairs completed and cost incurred. We totally saved $$$ taking the car to Westcoast Autobahn. Picked up the car Wednesday evening after work.  Car is running nicely and still very happy to have Steve service our MINIs. Highly recommend his services."

"Steve has always taken great care of my 2003 Mini Cooper JCW. He's replaced my engine, ABS module, and serviced my A/C. Every repair was done properly. These cars have a few known issues and Steve is able to identify them and correct or advise. If you give him the proper time to diagnose your vehicle you will not be disappointed! This shop is definitely cheaper than the dealer but remember the repairs can still be costly. It's inherent with the types of vehicles he specializes in. You get what you pay for and Steve is definitely worth it. To the gentlemen that left the review of mistreating women and the fire fighting story I beg to differ. My wife loves his down to earth attitude and so do I. He likes to talk and sorry the conversation that the gentleman ranted on about offended him."

"Steve is such a kind, wonderful man! After being scammed by a previous auto repair shop, he came to my aid! He made sure to check every part of my car that needed fixing, at a reasonable price! He gave me the cheapest options and fixed my car in under a week. The service here was really exceptional. Steve made sure that I understood what was wrong with my car, how much it would cost, and he made sure to check every inch of my Mini Cooper to see if anything else was problematic.   Overall, Steve is wonderful, his auto shop is amazing, and his dog is adorable.  Also if you ever need any assistance and can't visit Steve, he makes his own youtube tutorials on how to change your oil, etc!"

"I am happy to find an honest and knowledgeable mechanic. Steve took time to go through the ins and outs of what I can do with my car. I recently purchased a 2006 C280 Benz, and I knew it had a few minor issues when I got it, but still in great condition overall. I knocked the mirror off, but not enough that I destroyed it. From the first moment I walked in the shop, Steve came right up to me, asked me what was going on, then proceeded to fix it. He had to do some fancy work with the metal prong that holds the whole thing in place, and was able to save me probably a few hundred dollars from having to buy a new one. Also, I was impressed with the way I asked him to assess my vehicle and let me know what he thought needed to be done. He offered some great solutions, and really fair pricing. I will definitely be taking my Benz to Steve. It's tough to find a great mechanic whose passionate about what they do, and HONEST! These guys are awesome."
